Here are some pictures from yesterday's Flying Pirate Half Marathon.  Runners I spoke with remarked that it was, 'a great course, very scenic'.  The crowd was enthusiastic and encouraging.  The runners were also fortunate to have some excellent weather.

The after race party was lots of fun with great food and music provided by The Crowd.  It was definitely something not to miss for racers and spectators.

2010 Fishing & Crabbing Rodeo

Saturday, June 12, 2010

Once a year the North Pond of Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge is opened up for fishing and crabbing for one morning only during an annual event known as the Fishing & Crabbing Rodeo. Crabbing/Fishing success varies from year to year. Some years, almost everyone (sometimes as many as 500 people) takes home a full bucket of crabs. Some years, catch is much smaller. But, it's always a fun time for the entire family.

Everyone at Blue Horizon Realty would like to wish the Hearington Family best of luck with their new home and thanks for the wonderful things they wrote about our team.

Tracey and I have no words to adequately thank  you Dawn for making our dream of beach-ownership come true.  Throughout this process you maintained incredible patience and professionalism.  From the beginning it was obvious you did your homework; showed us only properties that met our ever changing criteria; and were focused solely on our wants, needs and desires.  In case you haven’t heard it from us before, you are just awesome at what you do and what you did for us.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!  This process was so much more enjoyable because we were blessed to…

Outer Banks Bike Week has quickly grown into one of the biggest spring events in the Outer Banks.  A bike week that was just a few days has now grown into a full week.  This year's bike week looks to expand on last year's success.

After some changes to Myrtle Beach's Bike Week it looks like many riders who used to opt for heading further South will now be coming to the Outer Banks.  This is great for local merchants and businesses.  Below is a schedule of events from the offical site.  For complete information on Outer Banks Bike Week 2010, visit the official website.
