Outer Banks lighthouses are constantly in the news.  

Restoration continues on Bodie Island lighthouse

NAGS HEAD — The Bodie Island lighthouse is expected to re-open in December, weather permitting. For now, progress continues on the 138-year-old lighthouse, situated between Oregon Inlet and Nags Head. The lighthouse will remain closed during construction for safety reasons.

The start of Major League Baseball signals that Outer Banks Daredevils baseball is right around the corner.  The Outer Banks Daredevils offer a great way to get out and see baseball played by its stars of tomorrow. 

The Daredevils play in the Coastal Plains League.  The Coastal Plains League or CPL offers collegiate players an experience playing wood bat baseball.  Watching a Daredevils game is fun and exciting for the entire family.  Come out and watch a great game of baseball and cheer on some future professionals.

The games are played in the First Flight Baseball Complex which is located at 111 Veterans Drive, Kill Devil Hills 27948.  Check out the Daredevils schedule or visit there website for more information.

Come on out Saturday May 8th, for the annual Nags Head Woods 5K.  This yearly event is loads of fun for racers and spectators.  The Nags Head Woods 5K is one of the most enjoyable races of the entire year.  The course takes you through part of the beautiful maritime forest that is Nags Head Woods.  The race features an oceanfront afterparty and more.
