Town of Duck’s 7th Annual Independence Day Parade - July 4

9 a.m. Duck’s seventh annual Fourth of July Parade will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011 at 9:00 a.m., with an after-event following at the Duck Town Park featuring community fun, music, watermelon, and the awarding of parade trophies. The one-mile parade route is the same annually and begins at the crest of the hill on Scarborough Lane and continues down Ocean Way and then Christopher Drive. July 4th Celebration with the Town of Manteo Featuring the North Carolina National Guard's 440th Army Band - July 4
8 p.m. Outdoor Pavilion. Pack up the lawn chairs, blankets and picnic and bring family and friends as the nation celebrates July 4th in the Outdoor Pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Fireworks will be provided by the Town of Manteo beginning at 9:30 p.m. The 440th Army Band will begin their patriotic concert at 8 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. Parking will be available at the Park until the lot is full and in downtown Manteo. Handicap parking will be available at the Park. The celebration is free and open to the public. Musical selections will include: America the Beautiful; Star Spangled Banner; Hail to the Spirit of Liberty; American Salute; Raider's March; Army Strong; God Bless the USA; Washington Post and more. Nags Head Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular - July 4
Thanks to a grant from the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, the Town of Nags Head will host, in conjunction with the Nags Head Fishing Pier, the 15th annual Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular on Monday, July 4, 2011 at 9:25 p.m. on the ocean pier located at Mile Post 11.5 on NC Route 12, S. Virginia Dare Trail in Nags Head. A rain date has been set for Friday, July 8, 2011. The fireworks display will last approximately 25 minutes. Zambelli Fireworks will present the program, promising unforgettable fireworks. For more information, please follow News Release
