The first step is determining where you want to buy your homesite.  The most popular homesites continue to be oceanfront.  Due to their cost though, oceanfront lots are not feasible for everyone.  Many beautiful locations can also be found along the lakes, canals, and sounds.  If you do not require a waterfront location, you can find many locations that include golf courses or access to community amenities.
